Welcome to TimeZone.com. TimeZone is owned and operated by A Bid of Time, Inc. TimeZone is an independently owned discussion, information and education web site. We have no retail operations, and we are not affiliated with any on-line or television retail business or program. We have created this Privacy Policy ('Policy') so that you will understand what information is collected when you visit our site, how it is used, and when and to whom it is disclosed.  


Information and data collected

To access or interact on some parts of TimeZone, you must first register. When you register, you provide us with personally identifying information such as your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address. After you register, our automated system will use your e-mail address to verify your registration and provide you with the information you need to log in to your TimeZone account. 

During the registration process, you will have an opportunity to indicate that you would like to receive e-mail updates from TimeZone relating to matters such as changes or additions to the site and TimeZone events. You will also have an opportunity to indicate that you would like to receive e-mail TimeZone feels will be of interest to you, from companies such as manufacturers and retailers of wristwatches and related goods.

For all TimeZone users, we collect generic, non-personally identifying data such as browser types and versions, operating systems, IP addresses, number of visits, time spent on the site, and parts of the site accessed.

When you register for TimeZone, you will have an opportunity to indicate whether or not you would like to receive e-mail from TimeZone. These e-mails will deal with subjects such as changes or additions to the site, special offers for registered users, user surveys, TimeZone events, and other matters relating to TimeZone. If we believe you have breached the TimeZone User Agreement and Guidelines or otherwise acted in an inappropriate manner relating to TimeZone, we may access your personally identifying information and it may be disclosed to third parties. Without limitation, we may conduct an internal investigation including contacting affected parties, contact you regarding your conduct, or make a report to your ISP or other appropriate authority. We will also comply with any laws or legal process requiring disclosure of personally identifying information. Opting out of receiving e-mail from TimeZone does not affect these provisions. 

We reserve the right to transfer your personally identifying information and other information to our successors in business.


Use of non-personally identifying data

We use non-personally identifying data on an aggregated basis for purposes such as operating TimeZone, enhancing TimeZone, and selling advertising. We may share non-personally identifying information with third parties for advertising, promotional and other purposes.


Storage of personally identifying information

We store personally identifying information in secure databases protected by passwords as well as database and network firewalls to prevent its loss, misuse or alteration.


Updating and correcting personally identifying information

If you would like to update or correct your information, log on to your TimeZone account and click the 'Edit Account Information' link. You will be taken to a page on which you may edit your information.
