Only Watch 2007 Kick Off Event

 

ONLY WATCH 2007  was officially launched on January 31, 2007 with a cocktail party at the Lausanne Palace Hotel in Switzerland. Only Watch is an exceptional charity event to raise funds for research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Attending was His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, Luc Pettavino – initiator of the project and President of Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies,  Osvaldo Patrizzi – Chairman of Antiquorum, and the Directors of the 35 most important watchmakers in the world:

HSH Prince Albert II applies his finger for the Piaget Altiplano Only Watch piece, an 18-carat dial set with  brilliant-cut diamonds representing  the fingerprint of " S.A.S Le Prince Albert II de Monaco" with Luc and  Philippe Léopold-Metzger, general director of Piaget.

  

 

HSH Prince Albert II and Luc Pettavino  addresses the audience and discuss on the importance to aid research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy. One hundred percent of the Only Watch sale proceeds will be donated to this worthy cause. The funds raised will contribute to international research teams, and to present scientific roundtables which are considered to be among the most important in the field. These rare and exquisite timepieces will be auctioned by Antiquorum on September 20, 2007 during the 17th Monaco Yacht Show. 

 

 

Antiquorum Chairman Osvaldo Patrizzi (below left) talked about the charity event in which the world's greatest manufacturers of fine timepieces come together with the world's leading horological auctioneer to aid research and TimeZone's Mike Disher said a few words that the TimeZone Community is honored to enjoy Only Watch 2007. TimeZone is proud to cover this important event and to present each of the 35 manufacturers listed, which donate either a unique piece or the No. 1 in a limited series.
