2006 TimeZone Tour
Installment 2, page 4: Visit to the IWC Manufacture
July 2006
We return to the conference room, where our group has the opportunity to examine and try on almost all of the watches in IWC's current production.
The Pilot's line...

The Ingenieur line...

The Aquatimer line...

The Portuguese line...

The DaVinci and Portofine lines...

...and finally, the complicated watches...

...and two very nicely executed pocket watches...

Before we knew it, the tour of IWC had come to an end, and it was time to depart for our hotel in Zurich. It was an excellent opportunity to see this interesting manufacture, and for that we thank our very gracious hosts.
On the coach ride back to the hotel, Nick surprised us all with a stop to visit the Rhein Falls, the largest falls in Europe. Water crosses the falls here at an average rate of 25,000 cubic feet per second.

After we returned to our hotel, there was no planned group dinner, so several of us took the opportunity to do a little exploring and have dinner in Zurich before settling in for the night.
Stay tuned for the next installment, where we visit Omega and the WOSTEP watchmaking school in Neuchatel!
