The Horological Society of New York presents the NYC premiere of “The Watchmaker’s Apprentice”, with a Q&A after the screening with master watchmaker Roger Smith & Director David Armstrong.
The documentary recounts the compelling story of how the legendary Dr. George Daniels rose from poverty to become the finest watchmaker of the modern era and and how his protégé Roger W. Smith evolved to become the only watchmaker George Daniels considered worthy of continuing his life’s work. Made over the course of three years, the documentary includes the final interview of George Daniels before his death.
Proceeds from this event benefit the Horological Society of New York’s education program, providing free watchmaking education to the public since 1950.
