Industry News – Richemont Announces a Creative Academy in Milan

Richemont, the Swiss luxury goods group, is launching the Richemont Creative Academy, a school for designers, product developers and communication professionals.

The school is to be established in Milan, Italy, under the direction of Dr. Franco Cologni, a Senior Executive Director of Richemont.

Offering courses at a Masters level, the Creative Academy will teach to postgraduate students. At first, two courses will be given; one for designers and for for product/communication developers, each lasting one year. All courses will be taught in English and will begin in January of 2004.

Students who graduate will receive a Master of Arts diploma. Tuition assistance will be available for deserving students, and the academy is open to all.

The school will cooperate closely with Richemont’s luxury houses in the fields of jewellry, watchmaking, leather and textiles.

Richemont owns Cartier, Piaget, Montblanc, Baume & Mercier, IWC, Vacheron Constantin, A. Lange & Sohne and Officine Panerai.
