These results, along with Antiquorum’s 2002 auctions in Geneva and Hong Kong, bring Antiquorum’s annual worldwide sales to an impressive US$ 88,000,000.
In this 2-day auction, exceptionally strong prices were fetched by Patek Philippe wristwatches, many of which more than doubled their pre-sale estimates. The session devoted to American horology featured some of America’s most decorative timepieces for which the most ornate examples attracted strong bidding from both American and European Collectors. Over 5,000 viewers followed this auction live on the web at www.antiquorum.com, with online sales topping US$ 190,000.
